Alana received her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Agricultural Science with a minor in Wildlife from the University of British Columbia in 1997. She then graduated with Honours from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She practiced veterinary medicine in Williams Lake B.C. for 6 years and in Balgownie, Australia for 1 year before beginning her work with Manzini in 2009. Her passions in veterinary medicine lie in small animal internal medicine, dental surgery/care, nutrition and opthalmology.
She has 2 sons and 3 fur kids; super dog, Mace, and troublemaker cats, C-for and Bamboo. All 3 were rescued from bad situations and are now the center of their household. Dr. Alana enjoys reading, painting, drawing, crafting of any sort and exploring the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island.
